Australian Open finalist and seven-time Grand Slam Champion Justine Henin will take to Stadium Court during the day session on Wednesday, March 24 at the Sony Ericsson Open (Session 1) while American star James Blake will open play as the featured match of the evening session (Session 2). Former World No. 3 and 2002 Wimbledon semifinalist David Nalbandian joins Henin in day action on Wednesday as well.

Henin, granted a wildcard into the main draw, will take on American Jill Craybas in first round action as she continues her comeback after retiring from the sport in May of 2008. Henin is 1-0 head-to-head against Craybas, with the pair’s only previous meeting coming in Hawaii in 2001. This season, in her first Grand Slam since returning to the game, Henin rode a wildcard berth all the way to a finals appearance.

Blake will take on up-and-coming 18-year-old wildcard entrant Filip Krajinovic in the opening round. A former World No. 4 and quarterfinalist at both the Australian and US Open, Blake is looking to advance beyond the quarterfinal round for the first time in Miami in his ninth try.

Nalbandian is one of only four active players to reach the semifinals of all four Grand Slams, and has 10 career singles titles to his credit. This will be Nalbandian’s 10th Sony Ericsson Open, and he will begin his quest for his first title in Miami with Lukasz Kubot of Poland.

Tickets to the 2010 Sony Ericsson Open are on sale now and can be purchased by phone (305-442-3367) or via internet at www.sonyericssonopen.com. An electrifying two weeks of tennis conclude with the women’s final on Saturday, April 3 and the men’s final on Sunday, April 4.
